 ABOUT WWE

The Racine/Kenosha Chapter of Wisconsin Women Entrepreneurs (WWE) is a non‑profit, non‑partisan organization that is dedicated to fostering the growth and stability of businesses owned or co‑owned by women in Racine and Kenosha counties.

WWE was founded in 1980 during a time when many women business owners could not secure a business loan in their own names. Our founding members envisioned an organization where women business owners could be recognized as a legislative force and at the same time offer support and encouragement to each other. WWE was founded by Emily Hill and Saundra Herre.

25 years later, WWE continues to attract a diverse, friendly, and knowledge group of women business owners. Though the membership has grown, the atmosphere is just as intimate and supportive as it was over 30 years ago.

Every third Thursday of the month (September – May), WWE hosts a networking/dinner event which is held at the Summit in Racine on Highway 20. Bright Starts is our quarterly breakfast meeting and our annual golf outing is held in June. The dinner meeting and golf outing speakers always present on topics that are both timely and relevant for WWE members and guests. For more information, please see Events.

Connect is the WWE monthly newsletter with a circulation of over 200. WWE members are welcome to contribute articles of interest and advertising space is available for a very modest rate.

The organization is operated by a volunteer board of directors, and current board members are listed on the Contact page.
